Admission to the ACSEP Specialist training program
This page is for doctors applying for entry to the ACSEP Specialist Training Program. Below you will find key information about the Entrance Examination and the admissions process including links to all the relevant policies.

Entrance Examinations
Successful completion of the ACSEP Entrance Examination is the first requirement for selection into the ACSEP Training Program. The Entrance Examination has been designed to test basic medical sciences.

Key Exam Dates
The Entrance Exam is held twice a year on the first Saturday of March and the third Saturday of July.
In 2023, the Entrance Exam will be held on:
- Saturday 4 March 2023
- Saturday 15 July 2023 - applications close Monday, 5th June 2023

2023 Exams will be held remotely.
APPLY to sit the entrance examination
Your application will be submitted to ACSEP National Office for review and consideration. National Office will respond to you within two business days and if you are approved to sit the Exam, you will be provided with a link to pay the Entrance Exam fee.

Applying to the ACSEP Training Program
Applicants who have passed all sections of their Entrance Examination will be invited to proceed to the next stage of the selection process and apply to join the ACSEP Training Program by submitting the application form and CV for consideration.

The 2023 Selection process will commence with applications opening on Friday 28 July 2023. Applications close Sunday 13 August 2023 at 11.59pm AEST.
You will receive an Application Form and CV template to complete and a private Dropbox link for your evidence documents.
SELECTION INTERVIEWS
You will be notified in late August of your outcome and whether you have been offered an interview. For details of the interview, please see the Selection Process document below.
Interviews in 2023 are scheduled to run online via Zoom video conferencing. Applicants who are offered an interview will receive additional information.
There is a payment associated with the interview process. If you are approved to attend an interview, you will be provided with a link to pay the candidate interview fee.
Selection interview date: Saturday 9 September 2023.
