Dr Alice McNamara (BSci BComm MD Cert EM(ACEM)
Dr Alice McNamara is the elected Registrar Representative for ACSEP. She is a Melbourne-based Sport and Exercise Medicine Registrar working at the Victorian Institute of Sport. She also works currently with Swimming Australia attending the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, St Kilda & Southern Saints AFLW / VFLW, as well as with the Southside Flyers WNBL and in private practice at MP Sports Physicians in Melbourne. For the last 2 years she has worked as the Pathways Medical Lead for Rowing Australia, and also really enjoys providing event coverage for ultra-endurance and trail running events in the great outdoors.
Alice was also Rowing Australia and AIS / VIS athlete from 2005-2016, in the lightweight women’s crews. She is a dual World Champion, and has rowed across 11 Championship A finals. She attended the Beijing Olympic Games as an alternate and qualified the lightweight women’s double for the London Olympic Games. She continues to enjoy water sports through surf ski kayaking and loves trail running.
